Senior Solution Architect – Digital Health & Technical Transition
Twoday is a leading digital transformation partner in Northern Europe with a global presence. With approximately 3,000 specialists, we collaborate with public and private organisations to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions. Our expertise spans software engineering, Data & AI, cloud platforms, digital experiences and business applications.
We are looking for experienced, technically strong Senior Solution Architects to join Twoday and take a central role in a large-scale, business-critical public-sector digital health programme.
This is an opportunity to combine hands-on solution architecture with technical leadership, helping establish a new delivery organisation and ensuring a successful transition from an existing supplier.
The role
You will join a complex digital health environment where several suppliers work together in shared agile development teams.
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will take responsibility for solution architecture, technical decisions and alignment across systems, teams and suppliers.
Two of the Solution Architects will also act as senior technical key resources during the initial transition, helping establish the technical foundation for the wider delivery organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking ownership of solution architecture across applications, integrations, APIs, data flows and technical dependencies.
Making and documenting architectural decisions, evaluating trade-offs involving security, performance, scalability, maintainability and operational stability.
Working closely with developers and technical specialists to ensure architectural decisions are implemented effectively.
Mapping existing systems, integrations, dependencies, technical debt and risks during the transition.
Driving structured knowledge transfer from the outgoing supplier and ensuring that knowledge is shared with incoming development teams.
Establishing common technical standards, engineering practices and ways of working across teams and suppliers.
Supporting technical clarification, troubleshooting and the resolution of cross-team dependencies.
Contributing to secure, reliable and maintainable solutions in a highly regulated environment.
Supporting responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools where relevant.
Your background
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering foundation and the ability to work close to technical implementation.
You should bring:
Solid professional experience as a Solution Architect, with ownership of complex, business-critical software solutions.
A strong background in software development and modern application architecture.
Experience with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, integrations and data architecture.
Good understanding of cloud and container-based platforms, CI/CD, automated testing and production operations.
Experience making architectural decisions and following them through implementation with development teams.
Understanding of security, privacy, resilience, performance and technical risk management.
Experience coordinating technical decisions and dependencies across multiple teams.
The ability to challenge and advise experienced developers and technical specialists.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work constructively with customers, stakeholders and other suppliers.
Fluency in Danish, both written and spoken, and professional English.
It would be an advantage if you also have:
Experience with technical transition, system takeovers or knowledge transfer between suppliers.
Experience working in multi-supplier delivery environments.
Experience from Danish public-sector IT or healthcare systems.
Familiarity with Azure, .NET, Java or similar enterprise technology stacks.
Practical experience with AI-assisted software engineering.
What matters most
We are not looking for an Enterprise Architect who primarily works with governance, frameworks and high-level documentation.
We need Solution Architects who understand software engineering, can take ownership of concrete technical decisions and are comfortable working directly with development teams.
You do not need to write production code every day, but you must have the technical depth to challenge implementation choices, identify risks and ensure that architectural decisions work in practice.
For the two senior technical key-resource responsibilities, experience with technical mobilisation, transition and knowledge transfer will be particularly valuable.
Why join Twoday?
You will become part of a strong technical environment with experienced colleagues and opportunities to work on complex, meaningful digital solutions.
We offer a permanent position, professional development, knowledge sharing and the opportunity to contribute to business-critical systems that support Danish society.
Your first assignment will be with a major public-sector organisation in Copenhagen. As a Twoday consultant, you will also have opportunities to work on other projects and technologies as your career develops.
Interested?
We would like to hear from experienced Solution Architects who combine technical depth with sound judgement, strong collaboration skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering software.
Apply with your CV and tell us about the most complex solution for which you have held architectural responsibility.
We look forward to hearing from you.
