Database Administrator (Danish-Speaking)
Join Twoday as a Database Administrator and work onsite in Copenhagen on a large-scale public sector programme.
Twoday is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be working onsite with one of our public sector clients in Denmark, supporting business-critical systems and data platforms within a complex and highly regulated environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong database professional who combines deep expertise with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to problem solving. You will become part of a central team responsible for the operation, optimisation, security, and continuous improvement of database and data integration solutions.
As a Twoday employee, you will initially be assigned to this long-term client engagement and will subsequently have opportunities to contribute to other customer projects across our business.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, patch, and upgrade database platforms
Design, implement, and maintain data integration solutions
Develop and optimise ETL processes and data pipelines
Perform database performance tuning and optimisation
Support data extraction and reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders
Manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity
Implement and maintain database security, including user management, roles, permissions, and access controls
Monitor database health, availability, and performance
Produce and maintain technical documentation for database processes and procedures
Provide technical guidance on integration tools, databases, and data storage technologies, ensuring alignment with team objectives and technology strategy
Support data migration and data quality initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of full-time professional experience in database administration, database development, or related data engineering disciplines
Strong experience working with databases and data processing technologies
Solid understanding of ETL design principles, data quality assurance, and handling both structured and unstructured data
Experience with data modelling and data migration
Strong SQL skills, including experience with:
Microsoft SQL Server
PostgreSQL
ANSI SQL
PL/pgSQL
Experience working in Linux environments
Experience with AWS cloud technologies
Knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, including:
AWS Glue
Amazon S3
Amazon RDS
IAM
CloudWatch
Lambda
Understanding of AWS security models and network configuration
Experience working with JSON and CSV formats, including data serialisation and compression techniques
Knowledge of Python and PySpark
