AI-Driven Test Manager / Quality Engineer (Public Sector)
With close to 3,000 employees, we are one of the largest tech consulting companies in the Nordics. To put it simply, we help people create value in the complex landscape of digital transformation.
Twoday is looking for a technically strong Test Manager / Quality Engineer to join a public sector modernisation programme.
The purpose of this role is to ensure quality, stability, and business correctness in solutions developed using extensive AI, agent-based tools, and modern software architectures. The role combines responsibility for system quality and the quality of AI-driven components across the full lifecycle — from design to production.
You will act as a central quality and risk profile, combining AI-driven automation with human judgement, domain understanding, and governance. The role is not primarily execution-focused, but rather orchestrating and strategic, ensuring that high development speed does not compromise robustness, compliance, or business value.
Your role
As a Test Manager / Quality Engineer, you will take responsibility for quality across the entire development lifecycle.
Your responsibilities include:
• Defining and maintaining test strategy, quality frameworks, and test architecture
• Designing and driving a test setup based on AI agents, automation, and continuous validation
• Ensuring coverage of business-critical flows, integrations, and system architecture through a risk-based approach
• Validating system behaviour across UI, API, and end-to-end levels
• Ensuring solutions meet functional, non-functional, and regulatory requirements
• Building, configuring, and maintaining AI test agents and quality workflows
• Structuring and maintaining domain knowledge, test data, and system context for AI-driven testing
• Validating AI-generated outputs, including identifying bias, hallucinations, and inconsistencies
• Acting as human-in-the-loop, ensuring that AI outputs meet business and quality requirements
• Working with both shift-left and shift-right practices, ensuring quality early and continuously
• Monitoring system behaviour in production using logs, metrics, and user data, and feeding insights back into development
• Ensuring release readiness, governance, and compliance
What we are looking for
We are looking for a profile with strong technical and analytical capabilities, combined with a strategic approach to quality.
Ideally, you have:
• A strong technical background, preferably with experience in software development or technical QA
• Experience with test strategy, test architecture, and quality assurance in complex systems
• Deep understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, and modern architectures
• Hands-on experience with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing practices
• Experience with AI tools, prompting, or AI-assisted workflows in development or testing
• Ability to translate business requirements, rules, and processes into structured test coverage
• A risk-based and analytical approach to quality and decision-making
• Experience working across development, architecture, and business teams
You are comfortable working close to code and able to understand, validate, and challenge technical implementations.
Fluent Danish is required.
About the role
This role differs from traditional testing roles.
Rather than focusing on manual testing and test case execution, you will:
• Orchestrate AI-driven testing and quality processes
• Design and maintain quality frameworks and test architecture
• Focus on system-level quality, risk, and business value
• Ensure continuous quality across development, integration, and production
AI will handle volume, repetition, and regression, while you are responsible for domain knowledge, risk assessment, and final quality validation.
What we offer
You will join a professional engineering environment delivering complex digital solutions for the public sector.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Work with AI-driven quality and testing approaches
• Contribute to the modernisation of a large and complex system landscape
• Collaborate with experienced developers, architects, and domain experts
• Influence how quality is designed and implemented in modern software delivery
The employment
You will be permanently employed by Twoday and work as a consultant with a public sector client. Twoday will be your employer, offering a strong professional community, skills development, and clear career paths — while you contribute to an important and meaningful project with the client.
