Permanent position at Twoday | Consultant role with a public sector client

Do you want to build AI solutions that move beyond demos and prototypes — and become part of critical public digital infrastructure?

At twoday, we are looking for an experienced AI engineer / AI consultant to help design, build and operate AI-driven solutions in a modern open-source ecosystem for a large public sector client.

About the role

You will join a team building AI-powered services and intelligent agents integrated directly into citizen-facing and internal systems.

The focus is not on experimental AI labs, but on building reliable, scalable AI solutions that work in production.

You will work with:

• Chatbots and conversational interfaces

• AI agents supporting workflows and regulatory processes

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures

• Integration with existing systems and APIs

• Scalable deployment and orchestration on Kubernetes

The client is intentionally moving towards an open-source AI stack based on:

• LangChain and RAG workflows

• Open-weight models

• Kubernetes-based infrastructure

• European cloud hosting providers (e.g. Scaleway, OVHcloud, Hetzner)

Experience working in that ecosystem is highly valued.

Your responsibilities

You will:

• Develop and implement AI-powered solutions and agents

• Build integrations between AI services and existing platforms

• Design solutions that are scalable, observable and production-ready

• Work closely with architects, developers and operations teams

• Help shape the client’s long-term AI platform and “AI DNA”

We are looking for someone who has experience with

• Building AI/LLM solutions in practice

• RAG architectures, embeddings and vector databases

• LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks

• Taking AI solutions from proof of concept to production

• API integration and distributed systems

• Kubernetes and container-based deployment

• Cloud-native development and operations

And also:

• Fluent Danish language skills, both written and spoken

• Strong software engineering capabilities (preferably Python and/or .net)

• Experience with observability, logging and troubleshooting in production environments

It is an advantage if you also have experience with

• Open-source AI ecosystems and self-hosted/open-weight models

• European cloud providers (Scaleway, OVHcloud, Hetzner or similar)

• CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code

• Security, compliance and governance in public sector IT

• PostgreSQL, data platforms or search/indexing layers

• Public sector digitalisation projects

• You are hands-on and enjoy building real systems

• You can move quickly from idea to working solution

• You understand the difference between AI demos and AI in production

• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• You enjoy solving practical problems with modern AI tooling
